Comparing the rankings between 2018 and 2024, there is a noticeable increase in the number of universities representing Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. In 2018, universities in these regions accounted for about 37%, while by 2024, it has risen to 46% in the QS World rankings with 1,500 universities in 104 countries and territories.
