Promoting High-Tech Agricultural Projects in Binh Thuan
High-tech agricultural projects have been operational, contributing to increased productivity of agricultural products and maximizing land utilization efficiency.
As of August 2023, there are 25 high-tech agricultural projects in Binh Thuan province with a total investment of approximately VND 1,844 billion. Among them, 16 projects are in operation, 7 projects are under investment, and 2 projects are yet to be initiated. The development of high-tech agriculture has always been a focal point for leadership at all levels in Binh Thuan, receiving constant attention and guidance.
According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Thuan Province, the aforementioned high-tech agricultural investment projects have actively contributed to improving productivity, ensuring food quality and safety. Simultaneously, they enhance the competitiveness of agricultural products, efficiently utilizing agricultural land and generating additional revenue for the state budget.
"To attract high-tech agricultural projects to efficiently exploit land funds for green development, the province discourages projects with environmental pollution factors, aiming for clean development. The goal is to move from green and clean development towards sustainable development," stated Mr. Le Ngoc Tien, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Thuan Province.
To further leverage the effectiveness of high-tech agricultural projects in Binh Thuan, the local authorities will continue to create favorable conditions for high-tech agricultural enterprises. This includes streamlining administrative procedures and implementing supportive policies, in accordance with regulations on mechanisms and policies encouraging enterprises to invest in agriculture and rural areas.
Given the province's natural advantages and the context of international integration, Binh Thuan has identified the development of high-tech agriculture as an inevitable direction, aiming to build a sustainable agricultural foundation.
