Upgrading Infrastructure in Industrial Zones to Attract Investors
Many industrial zones have emphasized the construction of infrastructure both inside and outside the industrial area. Investments in greenery, trees, and grass within industrial zones have been widely acknowledged. Numerous areas within industrial zones are now splendid and clean, adorned with dense greenery, extensive asphalt and concrete roads.
Sumitomo Group from Japan, the investor of the Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Zone project, is an exemplary case. The Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Zone project commenced construction in September 2017, covering an area of over 213 hectares. This is Sumitomo's third project in Vietnam, following the Thang Long I (Hanoi) and Thang Long II (Hung Yen) industrial zones.
From the project's initiation, the investor, Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Zone, efficiently utilized the fertile land, traditionally cultivated by local residents, to prioritize planting grass and trees. The investor established a system of greenery, grass, and ornamental plants to create a "green, clean, and beautiful" landscape, reducing the heavy and oppressive atmosphere often associated with industrial spaces. Additionally, the investor allocated over 20% of the total area for greenery, water bodies, and transportation routes.
Furthermore, within the internal roads of the industrial zone, the investor constructed three canals with a total length of 3.6 kilometers. These canals not only serve as drainage channels to prevent flooding but also act as water storage for irrigating plants, balancing the ecological environment. Planting and caring for greenery in industrial environments have become a necessity and responsibility for every unit and enterprise.
With comprehensive and systematic investment in green spaces that contribute to air regulation, Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Zone is expected to become a model industrial zone with a friendly working environment, making a breakthrough in attracting investment for the province. To date, Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Zone has completed phase 3, attracting dozens of domestic and foreign projects for investment.
