Adding 2 Large-Scale High-Tech Agricultural Projects in Tay Ninh

The People's Committee of Tay Ninh Province has agreed on the investment principles and accepted the investors to implement two large-scale high-tech agricultural projects.

On September 21, during the regular September meeting of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh Province, the consensus was reached to approve the investment principles and accept the investors for two large-scale high-tech agricultural projects within the region.

Specifically, the first project is a closed-loop cold chain poultry farming model led by the High-Tech Agriculture Limited Liability Company in the Southeast. The project has a capacity of 350,000 chickens per batch (5 batches per year) and will be constructed on an area of 67,394.8 square meters in Tan Lam Hamlet, Tan Ha Commune, Tan Chau District, Tay Ninh Province, with a total investment of 60 billion VND. The project is scheduled to commence in March 2024 and be operational by May 2025.

According to the assessment report by the Planning and Investment Department of Tay Ninh Province, the investment project adopts a biosafety process, disease control, and a large-scale centralized farming model with a closed-loop cold chain. This ensures the breeding density in the province until 2030 and has received official approval. The investor has also signed a memorandum of understanding with De Heus Limited Liability Company regarding value chain collaboration in livestock production.

Preliminary assessments of the socio-economic impact suggest that the project, when operational, will contribute to addressing local labor demands, supply poultry for the market, and contribute to the state budget through prescribed taxes.

The second approved project in Tay Ninh is the High-Tech Cigarette Manufacturing Plant by a member company of Tay Ninh Cigarette Company Limited. The project spans a total area of 20,237.7 square meters in Trai Bi Hamlet, Tan Phong Commune, Tan Bien District, Tay Ninh Province.

The investor will enter into procurement agreements with regions currently cultivating raw materials in other provinces such as Lang Son, Cao Bang, and Long An.
