Future development direction of the Pharmacy industry

Strategy on policy mechanisms and legal framework: amending and supplementing laws related to Pharmacy; issuing policies related to the production of drugs, the supply and use of generic drugs, specialized drugs, drugs prepared in a special form, biological products, and vaccines; issuing preferential policies for research and production of drugs originating from Vietnamese medicinal herbs with national branding.

Strategy on planning: planning the pharmaceutical industry towards the development of pharmaceutical manufacturing, vaccines, pharmaceutical chemistry, medical bioproducts; re-planning the drug distribution system towards professionalism to achieve better efficiency; planning the development of the Pharmacy industry towards large-scale commodity production, developing the cultivation of medicinal plants, and preserving rare medicinal herbs.
