Investors Sought for Multi-Billion Waste Treatment Plant Project in Lam Dong
A solid waste treatment plant project, worth hundreds of billion VND, in Lam Dong province is seeking investors. The project aims to facilitate the collection, transportation, classification, recycling, and proper disposal of household waste in the province.
The Department of Planning and Investment of Lam Dong province has issued an invitation for interested investors to undertake the Solid Waste Treatment Plant project located in Tan Thanh commune, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province.
The project covers a total area of nearly 9.5 hectares with a total investment of 186 billion VND. The project's operational period is 50 years, and the implementation schedule is approximately 4 years from the date the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issues the decision approving the investor.
In the future, the investor will construct an operational area, service area, office area, solid waste treatment area, workshops, landfill, and comprehensive technical and transportation infrastructure. The waste treatment plant is designed to receive and process waste in two phases: Phase 1 with a capacity of 180 tons/day (CTR), and Phase 2 with a capacity of 250 tons/day (CTR), including hazardous waste.
According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Lam Dong province, the construction of the centralized solid waste treatment plant aims to serve the collection, transportation, classification, recycling, and proper disposal of household waste in Duc Trong district. Additionally, it contributes to building a clean environment to ensure sustainable development, environmental hygiene, urban aesthetics, job creation for workers, and meeting the criteria for Duc Trong district to achieve urban criteria of type IV and town criteria during the 2021-2025 period.
Investors are required to advance the entire compensation, support, and resettlement costs to the Duc Trong District People's Committee for land acquisition. The progress of funding for compensation, support, and resettlement is as follows: Advance 4.37 billion VND (estimated) for preparation and approval of compensation, support, and resettlement plans within 10 days from the date the Provincial People's Committee approves the investor selection results.
Submit the remaining compensation, support, and resettlement amount (if any) according to the approved compensation, support, and resettlement plan within 10 days from the date of issuance of the land recovery decision by the competent state authority.
