Job Description

• Quantity Takeoff and Cost Estimation:

  • Perform quantity takeoff and cost estimation based on design drawings.
  • Determine material, labor, and equipment unit prices according to market rates or state regulations.
  • Prepare a detailed cost estimate, including direct costs, indirect costs, and projected profit.

• Bidding:

  • Evaluate bid documents from construction contractors concerning bid pricing.
  • Advise clients on selecting the most suitable bid price.

• Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with the Design Team Leader, Architects, Engineers from the Architecture Department, other departments, and external collaborators during the estimation process to ensure technical consistency across disciplines and compliance with current standards.

• Attend Technical Meetings:

  • Participate in technical meetings with clients.

• Cost Estimate Quality Control:

  • Review and verify cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure the quality of cost estimate documents meets the requirements of investors and regulatory authorities.

• Estimate Verification:

  • Participate in the verification of project cost estimates as requested by the Board of Directors.

• Other Tasks:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Team Leader or the Board of Directors.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction or Construction Economics.
• Experience in quantity takeoff and project cost estimation.
• Strong analytical skills in calculations, cost estimation, and planning.
• Knowledge of legal documents related to construction law, bidding law, and current regulations, decrees, and circulars on construction cost management and payment settlement.
• Proficient in English for work-related tasks and meetings.
• Skilled in using specialized cost estimation software (G8, AutoCAD, etc.) and office software.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a construction or architectural company.
• Strong ability to read drawings and perform quick, accurate calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong analytical, synthesis, and reporting skills, with effective task management.
• Ability to work under high pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of planning and executing tasks effectively.
• Strong data storage and management skills.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.
• Required: Class I Construction Valuation Practice Certificate.
